Petites bouchées
How to find the best fromagerie at the marché, posts you may have missed, and paid subscriber bonuses.
Bonjour mes amis!
We’ve been in France now for a month and I have a lot to share, but let me start with some quick housekeeping.
Substack can be a overwhelming, and if you subscribe to a bunch of newsletters, chances are your in-box is busier than the Louvre in July. 🖼️
That’s why starting today, I’m only going to send A Good Vintage to you once a month and it will include several posts plus some fun and useful resources and recommendations. I’ll be posting more frequently so you can always go to the Good Vintage home page to read more.

A chat encounter
Most mornings in Dijon, we have a leisurely breakfast of yogurt and toast and then walk the mile or so to Park Colombiere.
On our way home, we’ve met a sweet petite kitty who lurks in the grass along the tree-lined boulevard leading to the park. The other day, I spotted her lounging on a bench and peering over the edge to watch bugs, as one does. I sat down next to her and she came over and decided that I was OK and crept onto my lap for a quick cuddle.
We are now the best of friends and I’ll miss her when we go. 😻
